Humanitarian Build in Dominican Republic Officially Underway!
Tuesday late afternoon our own Ron, Yvonne, and Rhiana Hendriks, along with over 180 other volunteers through the Ontario Homebuilders' Association, landed safely in the Dominican Republic to kickoff the weeklong Humanitarian Build in Puerto Plata. The 2011 OHBA Humanitarian Build and Conference has the main goal of building 6 houses for needy families living in a very poor barrios (called Aguas Negras) around the Puerto Plata area. As it was officially the second day of building today, Rhiana Hendriks (Ron and Yvonne's daughter) had this to say about the first day of the Build...
"We finished one day and are about to start the second! Gonna be a hot day but all the houses are looking good! We have been laying blocks, forming, and hauling lots of fill for the floor. Living conditions are very poor and there is garbage everywhere! Should be a good day and just thought I'd let you all know what we are up to!"

Rudi Celebrates 20 Years with Homes by Hendriks!
2011 has been a big year at Homes by Hendriks. Not only does it mark the 50th Anniversary for the company, but it also marks the 20th Anniversary of Rudi working at Homes by Hendriks. This is a huge milestone for both Rudi and Homes by Hendriks. To put it in perspective, Rudi has been working here for almost half the time that the company has been in existence! Thank-you Rudi for all your continuous hard work and dedication to Homes by Hendriks!

Homes by Hendriks Celebrates 50 Years of Building!
Thanks to everyone who came out and helped celebrate 50 years of Homes by Hendriks and construction in Niagara, we all had a great time at Pennisula Ridge Estates Winery.
A special thanks to my Dad and Mom, Arnold and Barb Hendriks, founders of Homes By Hendriks for coming out and joining in the celebration. Thanks to all my staff for what they do every day on the jobsite - you guys are the best! To all my customers, suppliers and subcontractors, thanks for supporting us over the years and looking forward to many more!

Get More Info!
There is a cool tool with the new website that some of you may not be aware of. It's called the "Get More Info" tab and it is a very useful tool for people looking to get in contact with Homes by Hendriks to build. Typically, someone looking to get in contact with a business will almost always look for the "Contact Us" section of the website. You can still do that on our website but there is a much more effective way to get in contact with us in regards to an interest in building.
While you are navigating our website, simply scroll to the top of the page and click on the "Get More Info" tab.
A drop down window will appear with a number of questions followed by empty fields respectively. Simply fill out the fields you feel comfortable in answering and when you are finished, click the "Submit Form" button.
After you click the "Submit Form" button, you will be redirected to a screen stating we have received your information request via email and will be in contact with you shortly. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions or want to follow up with your information request. Thanks!
