Niagara Home Builders Association and Niagara Construction Association team up to build a home in 72 hours!

Blitz Build in support of Habitat for Humanity
May 14, 15, 16 2010 in Welland

Members of the Niagara Home Builders Association are responsible for 80% of the new homes build in the Niagara area and by joining forces with the Niagara Construction Association whose members build in the industrial, commercial, and institutional markets - the entire construction sector is represented in Blitz Build 2010! The weekend build - May 14th, 15th and 16th, at 5 Frazer Street in Welland, will see a home build from the foundation up in 72 hours. NHBA members, NCA members and industry colleagues will be donating materials,skilled trades and volunteering for the build. Upon completion on Sunday May 16th the home will be donated to Habitat for Humanity Niagara for dedication and the key ceremony. Together we make an unbeatable team!...giving back to the community! These awards were initiated in 2002 in recognition of the pending shortage of skilled trades people. Ron Hendriks, as President of Homes By Hendriks Inc., has sponsored two scholarships annually in support of the Blessed Trinity Secondary School graduates who will be pursuing a career in construction or related fields. Congratulations to our recipients, and best wishes in your future studies!

HOMES BY HENDRIKS has been instrumental in supporting Women's Place St. Catharines through years of the Niagara Home Builder's Association Playhouse Raffle. We are pleased to continue this proud tradition through the NHBA's 8th Annual Fundraiser, with 2007's funds directed towards the Child/Youth Centre at Women's Place St. Catharines. Over $12,500 was raised in 2007alone, and over the past 8 years the Niagara Home Builder's Association, along with assistance from Women's Place, has raised more than $90,000 for Women's Place.

Ron Hendriks, as president of HOMES BY HENDRIKS INC, is an active member of the Niagara Home Builders' Association.
